We are the Telecom Cloud company that enables Telecom services in the cloud. We have managed to master the cloud for telecom services. Okta8 started with the ambition to change the rules of the telecom industry. That ambition is what drives people in Okta8. Looking at the industry for so many years, we believe that it is time to change the fundamental believes that have ruled the game for so long.
Okta8 is founded by people who have worked in Telecommunication for most of their lives. Working for major operators, start-ups and as freelancers. The major operators have influenced Telecom Regulators, it is time for others to change the telecom industry, and bring new business models to the market. Being invited for our expertise, we gained experience of looking at the telecom world from another angle. Working for start-ups has given the people behind Okta8 the DNA that is needed to change things.
Okta8 is about using the Cloud and make it work for Telecommunication services. We have seen a lot of solutions developed by people who come from the IT world, and we believe that we have listened to their ideas about cloud services and improved the concept of cloud for telecommunication services.
Smart Telecom Solutions
Why do we call it Smart Telecom Solutions? Our systems are different, and still very comparable to what the industry knows and understands. It is different because we have created a solution that is not country bound, scalable for when higher capacity is needed, but also able to downsize when it is no longer required. The other thing that is smart about our solution is, that we have thought about carrier grade scaling. We have multiple instances, in different locations. We claim our solution is smart because it scales, it is carrier grade, and multi country.
Starting a telecom company on our platform is low cost when you have little traffic. When the business grows, it scales with the dimensioning of subscribers. Not so much the perpetual license for another instance. We have worked hard to find the right partners in our model. We found partners that understand the game is changing, and they have bought in to the idea that if they don’t change, someone else will.
The People Behind Okta8
Edwin Clement started Okta8. Being the wholesale telecom expert in the telecom industry for so many years, he understands what the industry needs. Together with professionals in his network, he build and operated telecom solutions as assignments for many years, and he now considered it time to take control over his own new company and operations.
